On Thursday, March 27, Mr. Raymond D. Neoh, founder and chairman of CG Global Entertainment Ltd. (CGGE, Hong Kong), led a delegation to visit the School of Art and Design at Guangzhou College of Commerce. They were warmly received by Dean Lin Yuyuan and Dean Lai Weicheng of the School of Art and Design. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on school-enterprise cooperation in artificial intelligence and the digital content industry, reaching multiple agreements including plans to host the International Artificial Intelligence and Creativity Conference (IAICC) at Guangzhou College of Commerce and to jointly establish an AI digital content industry training base.

The CGGE delegation included founder and chairman Mr. Raymond D. Neoh, Vice president Sean Xiao, Partner Penny Man, Project Director Timothy Tan, and Regional Director Cloudy Poon. Mr. Neoh, a pioneer in China’s 3D animation and film industry, previously founded China’s first publicly listed 3D animation company, Global Digital Creations Holdings Limited (GDC). He now leads CGGE with a focus on the AI digital content industry chain, encompassing talent development, the formulation of the Global Computer Graphics Production Standard (GCGPS), and sectors such as animated film and game development.

Accompanied by Huang Yan, head of the Digital Media major at the School of Art and Design, the delegation toured campus facilities including the Qiuzhen Lecture Hall, the Digital Intelligence Exhibition Hall, and the library, expressing high praise for the school’s teaching resources and innovative environment.

Five key Cooperation Areas to Build a New Industry-Education Integration Ecosystem

During the subsequent symposium, both parties agreed on the following cooperation directions:

1. Curriculum Co-construction and Program Optimization: Integrate CGGE’s industry experience and AI technologies into the digital media art curriculum design;

2. Training Base Development: Jointly establish an AI digital content industry training base on campus to provide students with real project-based practice opportunities;

3. International Artificial Intelligence and Creativity Conference (IAICC): Utilize Guangzhou College of Commerce’s platform to co-host an internationally influential industry conference;

4. Joint Research Center: Collaborate to create an AI digital content R&D center together to drive technological innovation and facilitate the transformation of research outcomes;

5. Targeted Talent Training Programs: Launch enterprise-customized training classes tailored to meet precise industry employment demands.

School-Enterprise Collaboration to Cultivate Future Digital Creative Talents

Dean Lin Yuyuan emphasized, “CGGE’s leading experience in the AI digital content aligns closely with our school’s ‘technology + art’ teaching philosophy. This cooperation goes beyond simply introducing AI technology into classroom; it aims to explore a new art education pathway centered on humanistic values and driven by technological innovation. In the AI era, the humanistic spirit shines more brilliantly than ever.” Vice Dean Lai Weicheng added that the partnership will explore an integrated “teaching-research-industry”model through the training base and international conference.

Mr. Raymond D. Neoh remarked: ” Guangzhou College of Commerce has achieved remarkable results in cultivating applied talents. Through curriculum co-construction and project collaboration, we aim to equip students with core competencies for the AI era while supplying high-quality talents to the industry.”

This meeting marks a significant step toward advancing cooperation to a substantive phase. Follow-up plans will refine collaboration framework, targeting the launch of the International Artificial Intelligence and Creativity Conference (IAICC) within the year, thereby injecting new momentum into the digital creative industry development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
